In the “Renewal” series, Mary Farmer demonstrates how encaustic painting portrays its eminently subtle development. The first panel of the series reflects faded colors. The second panel displays slightly replenished images struggling to present themselves making a bolder statement using more blue. The last panel is almost apologizing for being so aggressive and reveals a final restoration of mended shapes and bountiful colors with a softness as well.
